ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE: Espoir's mission is to "contribute to the health, economic and social development of poor women microentrepreneurs in Ecuador by providing microcredit and education, and thereby strengthen their ability to improve the lives of themselves and their families.” Espoir offers microcredit linked to education and health, and primarily follows a village banking methodology: borrowers have meetings every two weeks in which the education activities take place along with the credit component.
