ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE: ACODEP formed in Nicaragua in 1990 as a private autonomous development organization. Started by a group of graduates of the INCAE Business School, including current Executive President Armando García Campos, ACODEP is among the leading microfinance institutions in Central America. Currently the organization is implementing an IT platform that will significantly influence the microfinance industry by increasing productivity and responsiveness to borrowers.

ACODEP has a nationwide presence through a network of 29 branches and provides its services in both rural and urban settings.
