Introducing Our Newest Partners
Global Partnerships closed its largest microfinance investment fund, Microfinance Fund 2008 (MFF 2008), in November 2008. This $20 million fund will expand our support to more than 30 partners in eight countries, reaching nearly 1 million people and impacting 5 million lives.
As of December 31, 2008, we have disbursed funds to five new microfinance institution (MFI) partners, including two in our newest market of Ecuador.
The numbers below give only a glimpse into interesting stories and business models of each of our new partners. For a more detailed look at Arariwa in Peru, please see the MFI profile above.
We will continue to provide detailed summaries of our new MFI partners in future newsletters.
