Corporate Partners

An increasing number of businesses are dedicating a portion of their profits to charity in an effort to “do well by doing good,” with visible results in increased customer loyalty, heightened worker morale and a healthier bottom line. Global Partnerships welcomes corporate collaborations and in-kind donations, and will work with your company to create an integrated sponsorship package tailored to your business and community-giving objectives. Below are just a few ways local and national businesses are supporting our work through creative partnerships:

Through its More Than Tile program, Tile For Less donates 1.5 – 2.5 cents for every square foot of tile purchased to Global Partnerships. To date this partnership has generated more than $55,000 in operational support for Global Partnerships, the equivalent to more than 1,800 microloans – well over the program’s initial goal of 1,500 by the year 2010.

Global Partnerships has collaborated with Grounds for Change to create Opportunity Blend, a dark, rich and aromatic coffee blend. For each bag purchased, 15% of proceeds will be donated to Global Partnerships’ microfinance efforts in Latin America. Grounds for Change is a family owned and operated coffee roasting business located in the Pacific Northwest that sources 100% Fair Trade™ and organic coffee beans.

Equal Exchange, a co-op which builds long-term trade partnerships which are economically just and environmentally sound, is a generous donor of Fair Trade™ sugar for use in Global Partnerships’ office and at organization events. By fostering mutually beneficial relationships between farmers and consumers, Equal Exchange is creating a more equitable, democratic and sustainable world.

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP has generously provided several thousand hours of pro bono legal work in support of Global Partnerships’ mission of expanding opportunity for people living in poverty. The law firm has offered a wide range of legal expertise, including tax, debt structuring, international financial transactions, securities, LLC structuring, and more.

ExOfficio is an outdoor and travel clothing company with a specialty in functionality for more than 20 years. Continuing its tradition of partnering with humanitarian groups making a difference in the lives of people in need, ExOfficio has contributed shirts for Global Partnerships’ PartnerTrip travelers. ExOfficio strongly believes in the importance of protecting the natural environments where their team and customers recreate, and is dedicated to alleviating some of the hardships people in the developing world face.

Matching Gifts

Many employers sponsor corporate matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions that their employees make. Your gift may double or possibly triple. Some companies also match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.

If your company is eligible, contact your company's human resources department to learn your options. Companies have various methods by which you can submit your matching gift request – online forms, automated phone systems or a paper form that you submit to Global Partnerships.

For more information please contact Jason Henning (206.652.8707).
