Thank you to everyone who made the Ninth Annual Business of Hope Luncheon a success!

It's with great joy that we share the results of the Ninth Annual Business of Hope Luncheon with you—our friends, volunteers, donors and investors. We are delighted to report that the event raised $515,000 to support Global Partnerships' programs. A special thanks to those who attended and gave so generously. Together we are investing in the ingenuity and determination of people like Albertina to create livelihoods and change lives.

Albertina Calanchi, a mother from rural Peru, shared her daily life as a dairy farmer in Peru, her challenges and her dreams for her children: "I want to support my son and daughter so they can fulfill my dream: to be a professional." (See a Facebook album of Albertina in Seattle.)

Keynote speaker Steve Davis, Director of Social Innovation at McKinsey, described Global Partnerships' unique role in expanding opportunity for women like Albertina: "In helping our Latin American neighbors confront debilitating poverty, Global Partnerships is marrying new financing innovations – primarily the concept of microloans at the village level – with other services that improve those lives."
