Gerardo Talavera

Gerardo Talavera joined Global Partnerships in August 2007, where he first worked to monitor the performance of our microfinance partners. In his current position, he manages the relationships with GP microfinance partners in Argentina, El Salvador, México, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay, and identifies and manages the due diligence process for new partners. He is an economist and previously worked in the MIX Analytical Unit in Central America for the Regional Network REDCAMIF as coordinator. He has conducted multiple monitoring and performance evaluations in all Central American countries, getting great experience in the analysis of MFIs. He is also author of the first benchmarking in Central America, which has given him wide knowledge of the industry. In his free time, Gerardo serves as a pastoral member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Managua.
