Sarah Henry
Director of Health Services

Sarah joined Global Partnerships in November 2011 and is responsible for building and managing a portfolio of health service initiatives that help microfinance institutions (MFIs) and cooperative partners build on their credit delivery channels to provide essential health services with fully sustainable, scalable business models. Sarah comes to Global Partnerships from World Connect, a Boston-based NGO founded to improve the health and wellbeing of women and children, where she first worked as Country Director based in the Dominican Republic focused on maternal, newborn and child health through training and equipping four hospitals and operating two maternal and infant rural health clinics; Sarah became World Connect’s Executive Director in 2008, and led expansion efforts from one country to 13 globally. She developed a passion for Latin America, international development, and community-based health initiatives while serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic.  She holds a BS in Occupational Therapy from the University of Puget Sound, and an MPH focused on Reproductive, Adolescent and Child Health from Columbia University.
